Augmentir’s AI-native connected worker platform is the only vendor among 13 evaluated to score a 5 on LNS Research’s Product scale and is again positioned as a Front Runner.

lns research connected frontline workforce applications solution selection matrix augmentir ranks #1 in product score

LNS Research just published its 2026 Connected Frontline Workforce (CFW) Applications Solution Selection Matrix™, and we’re pretty excited about where Augmentir landed.

Of the 13 vendors evaluated, Augmentir received the highest Product score, and we were the only vendor to score a 5 on LNS Research’s six-point Product scale. We’re also positioned as a Front Runner again, the top-right quadrant of the matrix. A lot of what drove that score is the Augie™ Industrial AI Suite, the AI layer that runs through every part of the Augmentir platform, from work execution to skills to analytics.

Here’s how LNS Research summed it up:

“Augmentir is a leader in the Product dimension with technology investments and partnerships supporting the AI-native platform’s personalized work execution support, dynamic competency management capabilities, and real-time employee, team, and process performance insights for improved operational performance.”

What the Product score actually measures

If you’re not familiar with the LNS Research Solution Selection Matrix, it’s not a popularity contest. LNS Research scores every vendor on three dimensions, which they call the 3P model:

  • Product: functional capabilities and platform technology, scored against LNS Research’s CFW framework (digital knowledge management, work execution support, workforce competency management, reporting and analytics, team collaboration, personas and use cases, agentic AI, and platform features).
  • Potential: the vendor’s trajectory for growth, based on focus, innovation, financial resources, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Presence: market penetration across geographies, industries, and company sizes.

Scores come from detailed vendor surveys, multiple analyst briefings, and, importantly, customer reference interviews. LNS Research also brings its own judgment, having advised some of the largest industrial companies in the world through CFW selections.

On the Product scale, a 5 represents a “robust spectrum of capabilities for applicable target markets” with few recognized shortcomings. Augmentir earned the only 5 in this year’s evaluation. It’s a distinction we’re proud of, and one that reflects our commitment to pushing the boundaries of connected worker technology and Industrial AI.

For transparency, our full 3P score was Product 5, Potential 4, Presence 3. We know exactly what the Presence score reflects: we’re a focused company that has grown primarily in North America and Europe across CPG, food and beverage, pharma, chemicals, pulp and paper, building materials, and industrial equipment. The product is ahead of the footprint, and that’s a trade-off we’re comfortable with. It also tells you where we’re headed.

Why we think we scored the way we did: one platform, not a stack of apps

In its vendor profile, LNS Research describes Augmentir as “a pure-play CFW vendor and an AI-native platform with customizable, pre-packaged solutions for knowledge management, workflow execution support, and competency management.” We’re the only vendor in the evaluation LNS Research characterizes as both pure-play CFW and AI-native.

That combination is the whole point of Augmentir. A lot of manufacturers we talk to have ended up with one tool for digital work instructions, another for training and skills, a third for audits, and now a fourth “AI copilot” bolted on top. Each one is fine on its own. Together they’re a mess: data doesn’t flow, nobody owns the integration, and the AI has nothing useful to learn from.

We built Augmentir so that knowledge, work execution, skills, and AI agents live in one place and learn from each other. When an operator runs a procedure, the platform already knows their skill level, the equipment, the last three times this job went sideways, and what the best performer on the line does differently. That’s where personalized guidance and real performance insight come from, and it’s what LNS Research is pointing at when it calls out our “personalized work execution support” and “dynamic competency management.”

A few of the specific strengths LNS Research called out in our profile:

  • AI-powered workflows, context-aware assistance, and real-time feedback at the point of work
  • Dynamic competency management with in-context learning and AI-guided continuous training
  • Self-service analytics and automated shift and performance management
  • Pre-packaged solutions for operations, maintenance, training, and workforce management (safety checks, quality inspections, 5S audits, LPAs, CIL, daily management for WCM/IMS/TPM)
  • Pre-built connectors to ERP, QMS, EHS, MES, CMMS, historians, and HCM/LMS systems on a SOC 2 and 21 CFR Part 11 compliant platform
  • A fully extensible, no-code platform, so every pre-packaged solution is a starting point you can reshape to your own processes, data, and standards, not a fixed template you have to work around

That last one matters more than it sounds. With Augmentir, customers get their connected worker solution how they want it, not how a vendor thinks they want it.

Where LNS Research says the market is going (and why we’re already there)

The most interesting part of the 2026 Guidebook isn’t the matrix. It’s the market observations. Two of them stood out to us:

  • “AI is now embedded, not optional or bolted on.”
  • “The future will focus on AI agents and closed-loop learning systems.”

LNS Research also warns buyers to avoid “AI-washing” and to distinguish between AI marketing stories, lightly deployed features, and AI that is genuinely embedded in daily work. We couldn’t agree more. Every CFW vendor now has an AI slide. Far fewer have AI that frontline teams actually use every shift.

That’s what Augie™ Industrial AI is for. LNS Research writes that Augie “provides custom agent builders that enable users to create AI-powered workflows, generate dynamic work instructions, and automate personalized support for individuals and teams,” and concludes that “Augmentir’s roadmap and growth opportunity are strongly aligned to autonomous operations, Agentic AI, and data-driven workforce optimization.”

Since LNS Research completed its research, we’ve pushed that roadmap further with the Augie Command Center. The idea is simple: describe what you need in plain language, and Augie builds it. From the Command Center, teams create and deploy AI agents through Agent Studio, build complete workflows and use cases, and generate procedures, dashboards, and skills content through the new Procedure, Dashboard, and Skills Studios. Everything deploys straight into the platform where frontline work actually gets done, not into a separate sandbox.augie industrial ai suite

In other words, the “closed-loop learning system” LNS Research describes as the future is what we’ve been building toward since day one.

Thank you, and what’s next

A Product score is really a customer score. It reflects what manufacturers like Colgate-Palmolive, Mondelez, Hunter Industries, Graphic Packaging, Armstrong World Industries, and Müller have built with Augmentir on their lines, and what they told LNS Research in reference interviews. Thank you for trusting us with the people who make your products.

Thanks also to Allison Kuhn and Matthew Littlefield at LNS Research for a rigorous process and for continuing to push this market toward outcomes rather than feature checklists.

If you’re evaluating connected worker platforms, the 2026 Guidebook is worth reading in full. LNS Research’s advice to decide your architectural intent first, make closed-loop interoperability a non-negotiable, and insist on credible references over copilot narratives is advice we’d give too.
